Christmas in July! Retailers are begging you to buy it.

July is almost my favorite time of year. Retailers are giving it away! The girls and I went shopping yesterday, bought some early school clothes and a few items they needed. It’s Christmas in July. Justice for Girls has 40% storewide. JCpenny, Target, Macy’s kids, Old Navy, and many, many others are discounting already on sale merchandise.
Around our house we are learning to stretch our dollars further. As millions of Americans are having to do the same, I thought you might like a few shopping tips I learned yesterday. You can print coupons online before you go. I printed several. Retailers are begging consumers to buy. I didn’t have a coupon at one store so I told the clerk, I couldn’t get your coupon to print correctly (mentioned the website by name of course) and asked if they had any in the store. Within 5 minutes, I saved 20% of the total order by her simply asking her manager. I was given a very sweet apology for my printing troubles, and 20% left in my pocket! Retailers are convinced summer is over, and before stocking up for back to school and holiday items, they need to liquidate what they haven’t sold. We still have several months of hot and humit weather. Shorts and short sleeve t-shirts, blouses and tanks are perfect to start school. Home goods and outdoor living items are also on major clearance in many of the large chains. I am thinking now is a good time to start holiday shopping. I finally had to come home because I couldn’t affod to save anymore money! Fun, Fun Day with the girls.

Here’s a site I found extremely helpful yesterday.

About tweenspot

I am like so many moms raising young girls, scared I'm doing the right thing and learning with pure amazement at the same time! I feel like I have become my mother (don't we all) favorite phrase is "today things are so different than when I/we grew up". The absolute hysteria in that phrase scares me too. I don't want to be scared. I like to think that as a professional, working, college educated women that I can embrace the world we live in. That's why I have been researching Tweens, what they like, do, what's hot and what's trends are going to cost me a fortune in the future! My little girls are the love of my life. By creating this blog, I want a safe internet place for girls and moms to share. This blog is in the infancy stage, but I have big plans for it. So stay tuned.... Read, enjoy, comment. Visit as often as you'd like. I hope together we can build a community for girls and moms to explore, learn and share with one another.
